Customer response regarding Residual Website modifications
Sunday, November 9th, 2008Hey thanks for responding
and all that you said is true yes it does help to have all those feature built in from an SEO standpoint
and then you can customize at you own pace
yes each site has different content , but the images on the header are part of the template
so technically you could change then , it would require programming skills
that being said you can put images , videos on the home page using the blog feature which allow HTML script
many people do this
so there is some flexibility , but no its’ not like designing a site from scratch , but that would also be a lot more expensive
remember the search engines do not even recognize images , so from and SEO perspective they are irrelevant
so a pretty site does not mean a well SEO’ed site , although the way the site looks does have some impact on human users of course
I fixed your domain title so the words don’t run off , it’s just that longer domain names run out of space in the header , so I have to go in and modify
you could do it just as easily as long as you have some basic knowledge of FTP etc..
yes as far as the FTP , it just stands for File Transfer Protocol , it really is jut a term used for using a piece of software that allow you to upload and download
files to the site , when you want to make changes that are outside of the scope of what you can do using the Admin section of the site templates
99% of our customer “do not” use any FTP function , and that’s why we designed the sites that way, to keep them simple
but we also realize there are users that may want to modify their sites in various way which is why everyone has
full access to the site site Via FTP , which they should have , form a hosting perspective
yes as far as SSL , that it is only critical in certain situations , when you talk about enrolling customer online for insurance
that is a whole different set up features not really related to the site template we sell and more than likely will require
a 3rd party solution anyway , unless of course you are going have a web developer , put together a site with those capabilities
and then you can expect to pay $xx, xxxx for that time of development
but again I am sure there are 3rd party solutions , and it may be as simple as just linking to the main insurance company site
I’m not sure cause I have no idea what you have in mind at this point , or what your doing when it comes to insurance , that’s a broad term
u don’t need to do anything domain forwarding or subdomains , unless you planning on having sub domains for some reason
but u can get into that later and is really more of a function of your registrar account anyway
yes , banners , blogs , etc are the easy things to start with at this point
